Who is the Lion?

I am a self-professed writer. I enjoy writing. Like many others, I have never once underestimated the power of words. “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me,” is a load of bull. Words are powerful. Think about what we call “history.” Everything we know about the history of ourselves and the history of this world we know because someone at some point deemed it important enough to express in words. Whether through writing or verbal communication, history is built on words. There’s a reason the expression is “writing history.”
I am an editor for an online magazine, which can be found here. I received a Bachelor’s in Technical Journalism with a concentration in Communication and Theater. I follow tennis, professional football and baseball fairly avidly, and play tennis on a fairly regular basis. I’m a runner and a golfer. I’m a born-and-raised Coloradoan currently living in Philadelphia but soon to be in San Diego. I love beer but am also a fairly regular wine consumer. I’m unashamedly a fan of professional wrestling (yes, I know it’s fake and scripted). I’m a lover (in love with the Angel) and a dreamer. I have hopes and ambitions. More than anything, I have life and I’m not afraid to live it.
I’ve written a good number things in my life, though rarely have I been published. The truth is I never deemed my thoughts to be important enough that the rest of the world would care what I had to say. It finally took enough people telling me that they enjoyed my writing, and that many others would, for me to finally take the step to post to the world. For that, I’d like to thank the Angel. She is the reason I am writing this now, the reason I am finally expressing my thoughts for all of you to read.
So thank you for indulging my meanderings and please, follow the Angel’s as well. In these words, I hope you may find even a modicum of entertainment, a speckle of knowledge and maybe even a sprinkle of insight. From travels to sports to entertainment to random explosions of emotion, you will hear my thoughts and my opinions. You will hear my world-views and my personality. You will get to know me.
The opinions expressed in my entries are mine and mine alone. They do not reflect the opinions of my employer, my friends, my family nor any other entity.
